Melissa Kakuk

President & CEO

Melissa is the President and CEO and heartbeat of Caring Companions Referral Agency. Melissa started her career in caretaking over 20 years ago with her aunt in Dallas, Texas, taking care of several prominent residents in Highland Park, Texas. She continued her passion for home health care and the medical field through a variety of front-end positions dealing directly with clients. As a former caretaker, Melissa understands the attributes of high-level domestic workers, and has built an extensive and talented registry to offer to our clients. Melissa has a gift for understanding clients’ needs and delivering results and is 100% an advocate for the client. Melissa has an Executive MBA from Texas Woman’s University and is always willing to listen and take the time to understand the situation at hand with her calm and reassuring demeanor.

Tony Kakuk

CFO & COO

Tony has an expansive business career that started with working at 3M back in the Midwest, and then going to work for PwC as a Principal Consultant advising senior management in the high-tech industry in Silicon Valley, before putting his entrepreneurial mindset in motion by going to work for a private equity company. Thereafter, he branched off on his own over 20 years ago to build several small businesses into price leaders in their industry. Tony has an MBA from the University of Michigan, and as CFO and COO of Caring Companions Referral Agency is focused on cost-control and systems making sure the back office is lean and streamlined to help ensure Caring Companions Referral Agency provides the most affordable in-home care rates in the industry.
